Interesting about the worms
History of California red worm
California red worms have been known since ancient Egypt. The Egyptians were the first to have discovered that RCW are extremely valuable species. Worms were so valuable to them that if anyone dared to export a worm out of the kingdom, was punished by death. Years later, Charles Darwin began to explore the life of the worms. He concludes that they cultivate the soil, and if there were no worms, the Earth would be identical to the moon.
Later George Oliver was interested in growing worms, using the writings of Darwin, then he began the intensive rearing of RCW artificially. Over time, this becomes a serious business in many countries around the world.
In Europe, the growing of red Californian worm starts from Italy. After years this culture moved in Bulgaria, the first amateur farm is dating from 1996.
